Getting started with your clay tools
Set up a dedicated craft surface and check the instructions supplied with the clay you use.
Prepare your surface
Use a stable table and a clean work mat. Keep craft tools separate from anything used to prepare food.
Roll a test piece
Try the roller on a small piece first. Turn the clay between passes and use even pressure.
Add shape and texture
Test cutters and texture sheets on a spare piece. Lift the tool carefully to preserve the edge or impression.
Clean after making
Wipe wood tools promptly. Wash compatible silicone accessories with mild soap and dry before storing.
